In the Applied Social Psychophysiology Lab (A.S.P. Lab), we train social psychophysiologists, develop psychophysiological protocols, and conduct psychophysiology-based research. Though much of the research is conducted to answer research questions asked by the StRIID Lab, the A.S.P. Lab engages in research activities beyond the scope of the StRIID Lab. For example, Dr. Dover teaches a course on psychophysiological methods that uses the A.S.P. lab to train students and conduct mini-studies. The A.S.P. Lab also partners with other researchers and community partners to ask specific questions with important psychophysiological components. In addition, the A.S.P. Lab consults with other researchers to guide and develop research protocols.

Currently, the lab has the capacity to measure several cardiovascular markers online, conduct facial electromyography research, collect and store saliva and dried blood samples, and conduct field collection of several biomarkers.
